Loreal Pure Clay Masks

So I’m sure you’ve all seen the Loreal skin Pure Clay Masks on a big beautiful display by the counter at Boots (if you’re in the Uk that is) on offer for Β£5.00 each.

I’m a sucker for a face mask so I decided to pick up one. My skin is combination, more oily around that lovely time of the month but dry and dehydrated the rest of the time. I’m more drawn towards brightening, hydrating skincare products, so I picked up the Glow mask first.Β

It’s a different texture to any mask I’ve used before. It contains a blend of 3 powerful clays, mixed with red algae extract which is known for its brightening properties. It claims to smooth, illuminate and exfoliate the skin, leaving an even, healthy glow. It has a slightly abrasive texture which is to help buff off dead skin while the clay works on the skin.

It has quite a strong floral scent to it, so if your skin is a little bit sensitive or if you react to fragrance you may find this is a bit much for your skin.

I’ve used this 3 times now and I absolutely adore the way it makes my skin feel, it’s very softening and my skin definitely looks brighter.

I went back a few days later and picked up the Purity Mask which I heard great reviews about. Me and my hubby tried this one together as he has quite oily skin (and loves a bit of a pamper). It applies like a dream, a little goes a long way and you can immediately feel it starting to work.

This mask contains 3 clays and is enriched with Eucalyptus extract which is known for it’s purifying properties. As it dries you can feel the oil being soaked up by the clay, and once it’s completely dry it feels like it’s done an amazing job of toning, detoxing and tightening the pores.

After using this my skin felt like it had been thoroughly detoxified and was left feeling Matte and soft.

Over all I think these little pots of clay are well worth trying out. They claim to deliver up to 10 uses which makes them pretty decent value for money.

As I said, I got mine from Boots but you can get them from any drugstore. They are currently on an introductory offer at Β£5.00 each but will be Β£7.99 normally.

Let me know if you’ve tried these and what you thought.

I’d also love to know what you think of the Detox mask as I don’t think there was much point in getting it in addition to the Purity mask.

Thanks for reading and I hope you’re all having a lovely lazy Sunday πŸ’•

I can’t wait to try these. I’ve not bought any yet because I’ve been worried they’d be too drying for my skin, but it sounds as though your skin is a similar type to mine so I’ll definitely be giving these a go now πŸ™‚
