Maybelline The Blushed Nudes πŸ’•

So I just quickly wanted to share my thoughts on the Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette which recently came out in the UK. I know it’s been out for ages in other countries but we always seem to be the last to get the latest cosmetics!

so I decided to get this as, despite what everyone else seemed to think about the original Maybelline nudes palette, I really liked it! So assumed I’d enjoy this one too, especially as the colours are warm toned and there was a good mix of mattes and shimmers.

While the colours look really pretty in the palette and when swatched out, the reality is that they were very powdery and took a good few swipes to show up any true colour. The first 5, while pretty, were very pale and powdery, the darker colours in the palette seemed to crumble upon contact and leave lots of powder in the pan.

The main issue I have with this palette is that the pans are not deep enough and are too close together, so that when you use the colours, they all seem to mix together and it all becomes a bit messy.

You can see what I mean in the photo below, and you can see how messy the palette is after just one go of swatching.

I think I’d advise you to steal clear of this palette and spend your pennies somewhere else. For Β£9.99 this didn’t impress and there are far better options on the market from brands such as MUA cosmetics or Makeup Revolution who charge less and offer a better quality.

If you decide you do want to give it a go, this is available to buy for Β£9.99 at Boots and SuperdrugΒ and there is currently a 3 for 2 offer on both sites.

I hope this has been helpful to some of you or anyone who had been considering giving this palette a go.

Thanks for reading and I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Talk soon xx
