Urban Decay NAKED Smoky Palette

Uh! So Urban Decay have done it again. They’ve created an impossibly beautiful selection of 12 high quality smoky eye shadows all in one gorgeous palette.

When I saw that Urban Decay were bringing out a new NAKED palette, there was no question about whether I was going to be getting one, because I’ve never been let down by the quality of their cosmetics before and I couldn’t wait to see what shades they had come up with.

The NAKED 3 palette is one of my all time favourites as I generally am drawn towards warm toned neutrals when it comes to my eyeshadow, but this is a complete contrast from what the NAKED 3 was all about. It’s purely cool toned shades with a beautiful range of silvers, purples, greys and a few highlight and transition shades. You get 4 Matte shades, 4 shimmers and 4 pearl finishes, so there’s a good variety to work with.

In the box you also get a leaflet with step by step instructions on how to create various smoky looks. You get a double ended makeup brush with a fluffy crease brush on one end and a short synthetic pencil/blending brush on the other. The palette itself is beautiful, and unlike the others, it’s plastic with a magnetic closure.

I was spoiled enough to receive this as an early anniversary gift from my lovely husband, but you can pick it up from Debenhams, House of Fraser or Selfridges

Let me know your thoughts on the NAKED smoky if you’ve used it or if you’re considering purchasing it, I’m dying to have a more in depth play around with different looks!!

Thanks for reading my lovelies! Have an amazing weekend.

It’s so beautiful! I’ve been itching to buy it but after the hype around Naked3 and my total regret of purchasing it I decided to wait a bit. Your swatches look amazing though I definitely am putting this on my wish list!

Rose gold tones just don’t compliment my skintone unfortunately. I’m fair and have platinum blonde hair so they tend to just make me look sick more than anything. I do enjoy some of the colors and I love the colors in combination with other palettes but I never can create a look that’s complimentary to me with just this palette alone. It’s not a total loss for sure but I definitely would have been better off with just a few singles. 😦

Oh yeah I see what you mean. You’d probably love the Naked Smoky then. It’s all cool tones so it’ll probably go really well with your skin tone! Especially if you have platinum blonde hair. Xx
