Too faced chocolate bar palette – worth the hype?

So I’ve had the Too Faced chocolate bar palette for a couple of months now and thought I’d do a quick review for you lovely readers out there who are considering purchasing it.

Too faced are known for their high quality products and gorgeous  packaging, and I was by no means disappointed when this arrived in the post. The packaging is beautiful and the palette itself is such a cool design with the chocolate bar appearance. The fact that the shadows smell like chocolate is definitely an added bonus!

In the palette there are 16 shadows, 2 big shades for highlighting, one being a pale pink shimmer and one a  cream matte, there are a mixture of matte and shimmer/pearl shades in the palette and they all work well to compliment each other.

Included in the chocolate bar is a little leaflet with a few suggestions on makeup looks, to give you some inspiration, but just looking at the palette you can see there are endless looks to be made!

The shadows themselves are very pigmented and apply very easily, I would recommend using some sort of base to help intensify the colours and prevent creasing. I found with some of the darker shades that they can be a little crumbly, so be prepared to have some fallout. The shadows blend together very well and there really is a good range of warm toned Neutrals, purples and golds to work with.

This palette was everything I had expected it to be and I couldn’t be happier. Id say if you’ve been thinking about picking one up, definitely go for it as its a lovely addition to any makeup collection and is pretty good value when you think you’re getting 16 eye shadows.

Let me know your thoughts on this palette if you’ve tried it, and what other Too Faced products you’d recommend.

Thanks for reading!
