August 2015 favourites ✨

So I know I only just did a favourites post. But there were a few products that I’ve been loving which I definitely need to mention, besides, who doesn’t love a favourites post? really?

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

I finally got my hands on the Zoeva Coacoa blend palette!! It had been sold out for ages and I was checking Beauty bay religiously for it to come back in stock, and I grabbed it quickly which was just as well as unfortunately it’s sold out once again! I could not adore this palette more. It’s so so beautiful, the colours, the pigmentation, these shadows are gorgeous. They apply beautifully and they all compliment each other so well. I’m very impressed! This didn’t break the bank at £15.50 but it is such high quality and I would highly recommend you check the Zoeva shadows out.

YSL Volupte Lipstick

Eeeeee! This one I’m so excited about and was an indulgent purchase while I was in France. I’ve wanted one of these lipsticks forever and I just decided to bite the bullet and get one. I got shade 17 and the formula is quite different from what I expected. It’s more of a gloss/lip tint than a lipstick. It smells gorgeous and I adore this colour. But I won’t lie. I bought this largely for the packaging which is just out of this world. But I really have been enjoying this lipstick and it’s definitely been my go to lip product for evenings out and when I just want to feel a little extra glamorous!

Make Up Academy Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit

This was an absolute steal at £5 This adorable lot inccludes the most glorious matte bronzer which I have been loving for contouring with and a pretty highlight. Mine is in the shade light/medium though the bronzer is pretty dark. In terms of texture and application it’s very similar to the Benefit Hoola Bronzer which I’m in love with! But this is a much more affordable alternative. I’m not crazy about the highlight but that’s only because I have others in my collection which I prefer to use.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in 65 Pink Gold

I have found myself reaching for this as an eyeshadow base almost everyday since I got it. The colour is so beautiful that you could definitely wear it alone, but I find that it works particularly well when layering shimmer or pearl finish shadows over the top as it really helps to enhance glitter and shine on your eyes. I love how easily this blends into the skin and I haven’t found that it’s been creasing or sliding throughout the day, it just seems to keep everything in place and keep my eye looks bright.

L’Occitaine Cleansing and Softening Shower Oil

I got this as a sample in my last Pink parcel, and I went straight out to the first beauty store I could find in France and picked up a full sized bottle. It is glorious. It smells divine and instantly softens and hydrates your skin. If, like me, you have a bad habit of skipping your body moisturiser every now and then, this does it all for you in one step in the shower so your skin is cleansed, nourished, hydrated and ready to go straight away.

The Body Shop Green Tea Body Wash & Mojito Body Sorbet

I bought these two lovely products to take along with me on my travels and their fresh, summery scents did wonders to help me wake up in the morning. The Fuji Green Tea line from the body shop is so luxurious and the scent is just perfect to help you feel energised and awake, I love the body shop shower gels and this has definitely taken over as my favourite. The Virgin Mojito range is so fruity and summery and the body sorbet has the lightest texture ever so it soaks into your skin right away. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy at all, though if you have particularly dry skin you probably won’t find that this is enough to keep you hydrated, but for me it worked really well and I can’t get enough of this scent!

Those were my favourites from last month, I know there weren’t many but I didn’t really do all that much shopping (for once!) id love to know if you’ve tried any of these products and what your thoughts are on them! Let me know what your faves from last month were too!

Thanks for reading! Enjoy the rest of the weeks beauties!

Talk soon x

I can’t help but comment and tell you how gorgeous that pinkish shimmery colour in the Zoeva palette is! I am not sure where to get a hold of the Zoeva products in the UK but I most definitely need that palette.

Loved reading your post and looking at your pictures. You take wonderful pictures and I need inspiration for pictures because my next few posts require them so you might have just unknowingly helped me hehe.

I swear that pink shade is the only reason I bought the palette!! It was calling my name! and thank you so much, I work really hard when it comes to my photos so that means a lot! I get Zoeva from beauty bay which is a UK company, so I’d check them out x
