July Glossy Box ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Viva la France!

oooooooh it’s that time again. After lasts months Glossybox was a little on the disappointing side, I was a little unsure of what this month’s would have waiting inside.

But I have to say, straight away I was taken by how beautiful the box was. It’s been designed in this beautiful French theme. Illustrated by Jamie Lee Reardin who has illustrated for the likes of Dior and Balmain. I know that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. But I fell in love with this upon first sight. Sometimes it does seem like they put more effort into their packaging than they do on what goes inside.

Inside this month’s the products were beautifully wrapped as always with a ribbon and tissue paper. But this time they came inside a large clear make up bag which features the same design from the main box. I LOVE this because you can never have too many make up bags for travelling and now I have something with this design which I can keep and will get a lot of use from!

In keeping with the theme, all of the products inside are inspired by all the gorgeous and glamorous French ladies and French skincare. They are all in travel sizes so they’re perfect for any upcoming holidays you might have planned (like my one to France next month!). So let’s run through what we got.

Lollipops Paris make up Dรฉlicieuse Lip balm

I swear in every month of any subscription box I’ve tried you get some sort of lip balm. And I’m not complaining because they’re always handy to have on hand. But sometimes a nice lipstick or gloss would be a little more exciting. Anyway! This lip balm is actually quite lovely and I shouldn’t moan, it has the most wonderful vanilla scent and is really nice and hydrating. You might find this a little greasy for day to day use but it might be nice as an overnight lip treatment. This was full size and is worth ยฃ4.95

Teoxane perfect skin refiner night cream

“The exclusive combination of RHAยฎ and highly concentrated resurfacing ingredients is visibly effective in rapidly increasing the quality of your skin. In 15 days, the effects are visible on the markers of โ€œperfect skinโ€: the complexion becomes more uniform and radiant, pores are refined and pigmented spots are corrected.”

I had to look this up because I had no idea what it was. This sounds pretty amazing. And it’d have to be as the full priced bottle is ยฃ69.00! I think these skincare products are aimed more at mature skins and are going to be most beneficial for those wanting anti-ageing benefits. While I’m not really thinking about anti-ageing just yet, I’ll definitely give this a go anyway because my skin is definitely in some serious need of TLC.

Noxidoxi enhancing serum base

“offers a complete hydration, tightens pores and is a real antioxidant shield thanks to its CRC6 complex (cell repair complex 6 active ingredients). This complete care protects and heals your skin, it leaves it comfortable all day long. The complexion is radiant and evened”

This magic serum is packed with ingredients to help fight off the damages caused by free radicals and pollution. It’s meant to help tighten pores, and hydrate your skin. All these things sound pretty great to me! I think this would be a good all rounder for most skin types. If you’re not used to using a serum under your moisturiser then obviously this isn’t for you. But I personally can’t live without one.  A full size tube of this (30ml) costs ยฃ33.46. Which is quite cool because this travel size is 25ml so that’s almost full size.

Comme une Evidence Eau de Parfum by Yves Rocher

“This is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Top notes are violet leaf and silk tree blossom; middle note is lily-of-the-valley; base notes are oakmoss and musk.”

This smells like a very basic perfume. Like it has no distinct smell. Just a floral perfumey scent. I realise that makes no sense. But what I’m basically saying is this doesn’t  necessarily smell bad, but it kind of reminds me of standard old lady perfume. It’s not something I’d go out and buy myself. And I most likely won’t be using it. Sorry Glossybox!

So that’s what I got this month. I’ve been on the fence about keeping my subscription lately because I don’t feel like I get very much use out of the majority of the products. And I know there are better boxes out there I could try. Still. I might stick with it for another month and see how I feel.

Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? I’d love to hear any recommendations you have!

Thanks for reading, lovelies! Hope your Monday isn’t too painful!
