Maybelline – The Nudes Palette

Ello lovelies!! Just a quick one today, thought I’d do a little swatch of the Maybelline Nudes palette! I’ve seen these around the Internet, and I know that the U.S. have a few different versions of this palette available, but today was the first time I had seen one  in a UK drugstore. So of course I had to pick one up!! I’m probably really behind on the band wagon but I feel like it’s been ages since I had a look at Maybellines collection.

So if like me, you hadn’t seen this palette, it’s basically a cute little palette with a variety of matte, pearl and shimmer finish nude shades. You get 12 eye shadows in this palette and the idea is that you can either use it as 3 eyeshadow quads, 4 eyeshadow trios or 6 eyeshadow duos to create a range of looks. I’m loving how many matte shades there are in this palette. Including a matte black which is always welcome in a palette in my opinion!!

The shades remind me of those in the Urban Decay naked 2 palette, slightly more cool toned neutrals. The more shimmery shades are a little crumbly, but over all the shadows are pretty pigmented and blend nicely.

Let me know your thoughts on this palette. I think it’s great for everyday use and pretty good value for a drugstore palette, especially if you’ve been wanting to try the Naked 2 palette as it’s a pretty decent alternative.

Thanks for reading, Loves! Talk sooooon xxx
