This is my first time trying Sleek Makeup. I have friends who swear by them so I’ve been meaning to try them for a while! I picked up the “I-Divine Vintage Romance Palette”. Out of all of the palettes, this one stood out to me the most because of the purple/burgandy/gold shades which were just calling my name!
These shadows aren’t as pigmented as I would have liked them to be, but you get what you pay for I suppose. At £7.99 I can’t really complain. My skin is more on the dark/medium side so bare that in mind when looking at the swatches, these shadows may look better/show up more on a lighter Skin tone. It took a few swipes to get a decent swatch, and the shimmery ones were a little powdery, but they look better once they are on the eyes and are easy to blend, and you can build them up to get a more intense look. The colours are really pretty, though I don’t usually tend to go for shimmers (The more mattes the better in my opinion!!) But I’ll definitely have a go and play around with some different looks.
So unfortunately these aren’t the best brushes, but would be a good little set for beginners. For £14.99 you get a double ended angled brush which is amazing for eyeliner and eyebrow powder/pomade, a lip brush, a small crease brush, an eyeshadow brush, a blush brush, a foundation brush and a powder brush.
If you’re looking for a simple, cheap brush set, You may want to give this one a go, though for £5 more you could get one of the Real Techniques brush sets which are MUCH better quality.
Let me know if you’ve tried these out and what your thoughts are towards them. If you are a Sleek makeup lover, which products would you recommend I try? I’m always on the hunt for good drugstore cosmetics so let me know!
Thanks for reading my dears x
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
