May Favourites 🌸

How quickly is this year flying by!!? I can’t believe we’re in June already! This is my first time doing a favourites post, but there were some products that really stood out to me last month which I thought I would share with you lovelies!

So I’ll start with skincare, because it’s been a little while since I switched up my skin products, and these have been working wonders for me.

Etre belle Aloe-Vera Moisturising Gel.

I got this in last month’s Glossy box and I wasn’t sure I was even going to use it as I’m very picky about my skincare, and I hadn’t even heard of the brand before. I was in between products and decided I’d give this a go just as a temporary moisturiser until I could buy my regular one, but I absolutely love it!! The consistency is a little thicker than I’m used to. And it can seem a little bit sticky when you first apply it, but it soaks right in. My skin has looked so healthy and felt so much more hydrated since using this, and I’ve not found that it’s caused me to breakout as some heavier moisturisers have the tendency to do. You can add this into your normal skincare routine and use it as a serum under your normal moisturiser too if your skin is especially dry or dehydrated.

REN Clarimatte Clarifying Toner

I’ve never been very good at using a toner. I need as few steps in my routine as possible so that I’m out the door as quickly as I can be in the morning. This toner is amazing though! It’s designed for combination to oily skin, but it’s alcohol free and not drying or too tightening on the skin, so I think it would suit most skin types. It gently exfoliates your skin, unclogs pores, refreshes your skin & minimises pore size. I noticed a difference in my skin after a week of using it, after 3 weeks my pores appeared tighter and my skin looks clearer. This is great if you’re not so good with exfoliating as it does it for you, meaning you don’t end up with dull, congested skin.

REN Moroccan Rose Gold Glow Perfect Dry Oil

I recently wrote a review on this body oil and I’m still just as obsessed with it. My skin feels and looks so much healthier since I’ve been using this and I’m still in love with the Moroccan rose fragrance. I’d definitely recommend you try this if you’ve been wanting to! I love that it can be used in your hair as well as your skin, my hair definitely needed some attention and the Argan oil in this has been perfect.

So onto makeup, I have a few new pieces I’ve been using over the last month which I love, and a couple which I’ve had for a while but hadn’t really had a chance to try.

Make up Academy Elysium Palette

I have had this palette for a couple of months, and I’ve used it almost everyday since I got it. It’s the most versatile palette! I’ve been able to create natural, smokey and very dramatic looks using this. The shadows are so pigmented and the range of shimmers and mattes are perfect. The colours are very similar to those in the Naked 3 palette, all rose tones and pinky shimmers. There is the most perfect matte black shade and matte highlight. Price wise this is a fantastic alternative to the Naked 3 as it is only Β£6. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a good drugstore eyeshadow palette.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara

I am absolutely adoring this mascara at the moment. The first thing I noticed was how similar it is to the Benefit Roller-lash mascara (only much cheaper) I love the difference it makes to my lashes, and my lashes are pretty depressing usually. It lifts and lengthens them, and the brush grabs even the smallest lashes. Not bad for a drugstore mascara.

Rimmel Exaggerate & Lasting finish Lip Liners

If you’re wanting a good, affordable lip liner in a decent range of colours, try out the Rimmel liners. My favourites are ‘Indian pink’, ‘East end snob’ & ‘Red diva’. I’ve only recently tried these out, but I’m glad I did!

Gerard cosmetics Lipstick in ‘1995’

My last post was all about these lipsticks so I won’t say much about them. But my favourite shade of the bunch is ‘1995’ and I’ve been wearing it to death since I got it and can see myself beeding to but a new one very soon. If you’re looking for the perfect 90’s Kylie Jenner nude lip colour, this is it.

Those were my favourites for the month of May. Thanks for reading, and I hope your Monday hasn’t been too miserable! Have a great week and a fantastic month!! Summer is finally here!! (though it doesn’t quite look like it here in the UK)

Talk soon loves xxx

1995 is the greatest color!! I have worn mine quite a lot since I received it a couple weeks ago! Also, i know what you mean about the Anastasia Dipbrow lasting forever! I’ve had mine for about 8 months and I use it every day and I just hit the bottom!!
