With so many different fad diets and Teatox plans around at the moment, it’s hard to know which programmes and diets really work. While it’s only recently that these quick fix diet teas have become popular, the Chinese have had it figured out for centuries.
There are three organic health teas which I want to talk about today, which are all fairly easily attained and won’t cost you the earth. I get mine from http://www.teacargo.co.uk and at £2.40 a pack it’s easy to add these little wonders into your everyday diet.
Perhaps the most obvious and the most popular tea for weight loss and over all health benefits, green tea is high in antioxidants and is amazing for anyone who is already in good shape and wants to maintain a healthy balance. It is known to help with energy levels, help reduce risk of various diseases and is most widely used to help get the metabolism moving. You need around 5 mugs of green tea to see the benefits if drinking for weightloss and as always it must be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.
My favourite tea. This is knows as “the slimming tea” in China because it helps the body to oxidise incarcerated fats. Research has shown that it not only helps to up the metabolism, helping you burn an extra 67 calories a day, (that’s 469 a week!) but it also reduces the fattening effect of carbohydrates. And I don’t know about you but I’m up for anything which means I can carry on eating carbs guilt free! You need 3 mugs of this in a day to aid weight loss and it has a far more delicate taste than green tea. I can always see the difference in my body if I’m using this as part of my diet.
Rumoured to be used by the always beautiful Victoria Beckham, the Chinese call this “the health tea” because of the endless benefits it has on the body. It is rich in Lactobacillus bacteria and Polyphenols. Lactobacillus bacteria is effective in breaking down fatty foods and polyphenols help to eliminate free radicals. This tea works amazingly to aid digestion and reduce the body’s absorption of bad fats. You would need 3 mugs of this a day after each meal to help weight loss. The taste is an aquired one but the benefits are unparalleled.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and if you can recommend any other health teas for me to try! Always looking for something new.
I get 4 boxes of Oolong Tea for £9.99 at http://www.teacargo.com and they will also send you any samples you request of you would like to try the teas first.
